Experienced Managers Programme

Course Description

This five day programme (one day a week for five weeks), will support Experienced Managers within the organisation to build on their existing leadership skills.  The programme will cover Compassionate Leadership, Management Communications, Building Mental Toughness, and Developing High Performing Teams through group discussion, individual reflection, and practical activities.

To attend the programme you must be able to commit to attending all five days, be up to date with mandatory training, and be able to complete all pre-course reading as required.

You will also have the opportunity to have 6 structured coaching conversations with a LUHFT workplace coach post programme.

Participants will also have the optional opportunity to complete and ILM level 5 certificate in leadership and management as part of the programme, however, this is not a requirement.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course you will have the opportunity to:

  • Reflect on your strengths and development areas in your leadership style
  • Discuss the importance of tone and formality in your management communications
  • Explore your own levels of mental toughness and how this impacts your own and your teams' performance
  • Build a network of support with other experienced managers across the organisation
