Hydration

During 2020 we worked with partners in United Utilities and supplied over 7000 reusable water bottles to all areas in the Trust

We ask all managers to create a positive environment on this issue and ensure:

• Staff are aware why it is important to hydrate.
• Make staff aware of how they access drinking water easily
• Ensure there is a safe cool place to store water within a reasonable distance of workplaces.
• Dispel any issues around infection control. Hydration and infection control are not mutually exclusive. Any issues can be discussed with the Trust Infection Control Team.

A very small number of reusable bottles are left. They can be obtained through the Trust Occupational Health and Wellbeing Team by emailing occupational.health@liverpoolft.nhs.uk .
